Ahn

An Ahn is the next stage of the Human evolution. Ahns look very similar to a Human except they have a longer face with a higher forehead to accommodate a brain with ESP development.

Personality Traits

Ahns dislike being referred to as 'Human' or even compared to their ancestoral race which still exists in the same timeline. Ahn Females are very sensitive to emotions around them while Males can be reserved and intuitive.

Unlike their ancestors, Ahns are generally extremely protective of their environment, especially if Nature is prominent. Ahns have been known to take extreme risks in order to preserve natural terrains.

Physical Description

The body shape of an Ahn is similar to a Human except for their long faces and elongated foreheads.

The average height of an Ahn is taller than that of a Human. Females usually grow between 165 centimetres and 205 centimetres and males between 180 centimetres and 245 centimetres.

Most adult Ahns will have dark hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion. Many are almost spitting throw backs to the Romany, a wandering race of Humans.

Relations

Elfs have a strange affinity to Ahns who they helped nurture during the Rift age. History credits the Elf with saving the Human race and fathering the Ahn. Some Elfs will act as benefactor's to an Ahn, mentoring them through life, much like a special project or pet.

Ahns and Humans are a volatile pairing. There is much racial hatred and jealousy between the two races.

Dwarfs and other fae creatures like Ahns for their affinity and connection with the spiritual realms.

Demons believe the Ahn to be a gutter rat, no better than the Human. while this perception of the Ahn is shared with the Human race, Humans do not share the same perception of themselves.

Ahns tend lean towards either Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral or Chaotic.

New Race Lands

Ahns are native to Vikandor and from the northern caves they travelled south into Sparatus. A few have travelled north to Krystia to reside in Trehn.

Religion

Ahns have traditionally prayed to the Elf God, ENORETH an ancient elven lord who protects time.

MIGUEL is a new God that many Ahns in Vikandor are turning to for guidance.

Language

Ahn is the common language on Azur.

Names

Ahns have continued to use Human naming conventions. There is a new fad that is spreading with the new religious movement that worships the God, MIGUEL. It first started in Vikandor and is beginning to catch on Sparatus.

The name is made up of nine letters. The first three letters are the last three letters of a name of an opal. The second group of three letters are the first three letters of a colour and the last three letters are the last three letters from the mother's favoured trait.

Family Names

Under the new naming convention, many Ahns are changing their family names to those that describe their chosen occupation.

Adventures

Ahns like to travel with different races (except Humans), and will usually be found in the company of an Elf or Halfling.

Ahns seek out tranquility and places of natural beauty. They enjoy visiting mystical environments and their favoured holiday destination is Trehn.

It is unusual to find an Ahn who enjoys taking up a weapon. Most prefer to be Healers or Bairds.

Physically the Ahn race has very similar attributes as the Human race the differences lie with the amount of brain development and its use.
